About this Episode

How do I overcome the brokenness I experience as a victim of abuse and toxic relationships? What do you think about the use of Viagra? What is the right age to talk to my kids about sex and the body?

Ask Christopher West is a weekly podcast in which Theology of the Body Institute Director Christopher West and his beloved wife Wendy share their humor and wisdom, answering questions about marriage, relationships, life, and the Catholic faith, all in light of John Paul II’s beautiful teachings on the Theology of the Body.

Q1: I was recently in Adoration, reading the Song of Songs. I found myself very uncomfortable with what I was reading. I know these words demonstrate the life between Christ and His Church, and the ideal life that could be shared between spouses. But as someone who has suffered sexual abuse and toxic relationships, I can’t seem to read this words without shame, especially those parts describing the body. How can I begin to believe in my core that eros and agape love is real, and to begin to receive it from the Lord?

Q2: What do you think of Viagra?

Q3: What is the best age to teach my kids about sex and their body?
